Spears have the longest range out of all melee weapons, average attack speed. Average damage, and focuses on Stab damage type. Among the normal weapons, it's probably the one that feels closest to Castlevania style whip attacks.

• Chinese flail weapon that consists of three wooden or metal staffs connected by metal rings or rope. The weapon is also known as “coiling dragon staff”. A more complicated version of the two section staff, the staves can be spun to gather momentum resulting in a powerful strike, or their articulation can be used to strike over or around a shield or other defense. • Areadbhar (also Areadbhair), the spear of Lugh, which originally belonged to Pisear, king of Persia. Lugh had no need to wield the spear himself. When battle was near, it was drawn out; then it roared and struggled against its thongs, fire blazed from it, and it tore through the ranks of the enemy once slipped from the leash, never tired of slaying.
